Maro Engineering Planning and Consulting Ltd. was founded in 2000 by a couple of engineers, Varda Balut Khoury and Charlie Khoury,
With over two decades of experience in the field of engineering design.
The company was established out of a genuine desire to provide a professional, reliable and comprehensive solution to every engineering need – under one roof, with personal support and full adaptation to each project.
Over the years, we have gained significant experience in supporting diverse projects - from private homes and residential buildings, to commercial buildings and public institutions, hospitals and industrial buildings and condominiums, to hotels and large-scale complex projects.
Our ability to understand the unique needs of each type of project allows us to tailor precise solutions and design systems that work correctly in the field.
Maro specializes in the design of water and sewage plumbing systems, safety and fire safety, air conditioning systems,
Ventilation and smoke release, accessibility planning for people with disabilities, including conducting accessibility surveys, as well as planning fire extinguishing systems and automatic fire extinguishing.
In addition, we provide professional engineering advice and professional and legal opinions, in accordance with project and regulatory requirements.
Our team of engineers and technicians works in a variety of engineering fields and combines extensive practical experience with precise design thinking.

Charlie Khoury
Founder and Owner
Mechanical engineer, graduate of the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, with over 30 years of experience in the fields of planning, engineering and industrial management.
He managed factories and held senior engineering positions in leading companies in Israel and around the world, and currently heads a successful company in the field of engineering planning.
Possesses extensive professional knowledge, systems thinking, and the ability to lead complex projects. Believes in working relationships based on trust, commitment, and personal connection, and treats his clients as partners in the journey — with a family approach and true friendship. Loves people, music, and human connections, and sees the combination of professionalism and humanity as the basis for long-term success.
Warda Balut Khoury
Founder and owner
A civil engineer who graduated from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, and holds a master's degree in business administration.
A legacy of accessibility from a school for people with disabilities.
Over the years, she has accumulated professional experience that combines in-depth, multidisciplinary engineering knowledge with broad business and managerial insight, while leading complex projects, making strategic decisions, and providing professional and effective solutions to the company's clients.
